The Lozarithm Lens

Melksham (Friday 11th February 2022)

I managed to resist blipping a swan on Wednesday but not today, as the two on the Avon were pretty much all I was able to photograph before darkness once again descended. The day was as overcast as in recent days but with added coldness for fun. I'd driven over for my third once-a-week shop of the week and to get petrol at a fractionally less unbearable price.

In a perfect world Radio Three presenter Jennifer Lucy Allan would live next door and invite me over to hear obscure delights from her record collection, such as this one that she played on this day's late night edition of Late Junction, titled Lone Rangers, which had "a focus on music made by a single instrument, with trombone solos, solitary viola experiments and unencumbered electric guitar explorations." This comes from the album For Trainspotters Only.
