CROWDED

Main image shows crowds below the posh bit, where our Chairman was seated, surrounded by Security Staff. Extra shows a full North Stand.
A strange matchday indeed . . . a hark back to the days when football and hooliganism ruled.
Without going into detail, no love lost between Boro & their opponents today, Derby County. The atmosphere around the Riverside was anxious and caustic. Verbal battles ongoing outside the ground . . . breaking out all over. A feeling of impending doom and disaster. An air ambulance landed next to the ground just before kick-off and in the early stages of the match it looked as if it would do just that . . . kick off.
Thanks to the superb referee, a game that threatened not to finish with 22 players did so . . . Boro won the day and both sides played good football.
Time to dedicate yet another win to that Magic Manager Chris Wilder and the Backroom team of Kieran Scott and, of course, Chairman Steve Gibson. Stay safe everyone !
