Thumbing a lift?

A form of communication we haven’t used for many, many years! My mono Monday entry with many thanks to Jensphotos for hosting.

Hope you all managed communication today as it’s Valentine day! I made a card for Ro but it’s still back home!

Today we went to Copper mountain, Mynydd Parys. We took the long walk round which definitely took more than 2 hours but was very interesting. The rock formations left from the opencast mining are wonderful.  It didn’t rain today and partway through our walk the sun shone on the rocks bringing out their colour.

It’s really interesting.  Ro found it a very long walk and in the above photo was sitting on the only bench we found! A very old piece of wood! He would have loved to have been able to hitch a lift!
More about the copper mine!

After we went to a pub were I had a great leek and chicken pie with veg.

Once home there were lots more jet flights! Very fast!

After getting back I went for a quick walk with eldest son to admire the sunset over the beach. It was fabulous!

This evening we are about to have a chilli made by youngest son.  Early to bed I suspect!

The situation in the Ukraine is so worrying! I fear for them.
