My love is like a . . .

Valentine's Day display of red roses caught my eye today.  A friend of mine used to place an empty, large vase on the breakfast table on Valentine's day in anticipation.  
Apparently the purchasing of exotic, non-seasonal flowers has taken a dive as customers become more aware of the environmental cost of shipping flowers from long distances.
OH and I just acknowledge with cards.
