Rooks

Lousy photography but interesting composition; the sort of composition that I might use in my artwork. The extra photo has the quality of asemic writing, which often makes an appearance in my work.

We are lucky to have a large rookery near our home. The rooks are abundant, noisy, amusing and charming. They are often accompanied by jackdaws, which I love even more I think. We also have carrion crows and magpies come to the garden and, occasionally, jays. We've not seen a raven in the garden, but they do fly over sometimes. Choughs and hooded crows are the only corvids that we don't see.
