Victorian Half Crown

Appalling day weatherise. It's been pouring with rain for most of the day.

A day of sorting for J, going through his coin collection and wondering what to do with them, and where to sell them. We're not good at selling items on line.

I phone snapped a drenched leaf in. the garden, then this 1894 half crown and edited in snapseed, an App I forget I've got all the time!

Can't help but wonder who, way back in Victorian times handled this coin, and think of the world they lived in compared to the world we live in, where cash is so rarely used. I tend to pay by phone 95% (or more) of the time these days.
