Glen Fincastle

We headed over to Glen Fincastle this morning with the local walking group. It is one place we haven't explored, primarily because we weren't sure where we could park as the road is single track.

It was a lovely day for walking with a light dusting of snow and blue skies most of the time.  The local farmer meet us at one of the lochans to tell us the meaning of the surrounding hills in Gaelic and provided us with tea and scones afterwards which we enjoyed.

We saw four heron flying as well as two geese and two swans.

Now that we know where to park we will go back and explore further - there are lots of interesting tracks and paths with great views of surrounding hills and glens.

I was back in plenty of time for my Gaelic class and tonight is Country Dancing.
