Surprise

Woke up to a four course breakfast. Wow! The biggest freshest croissant, yoghurt with granola and rhubarb compote … charcuterie then full English. Sublime well and truly stuffed by 10.30am
The day was miserable and could barely see across the Tay to the V&A opposite. F had come down from Aberdeen to meet us and when we drove up, lo and behold there was H who had got up at 6, in Glasgow to get the bus to Dundee as a surprise. My two boys:))
Sadly The V & Awas a tad disappointing particularly to the joys. The building is incredible but couldn’t make the most of it in the rain. Also, no exhibition so only the design room which looked great but I felt was low on substance.
What to do next? The planned walk on St Andrews beach was out the window so instead we went to Pizza Express. And then a wee wander. Poor H was seriously fading fast so we decided why not take him back to Glasgow. Headed to the car only to find the battery had gone on the key fob so alarm blaring we tried to work out how to override it. Half an hour in the pouring rain watching YouTube videos to no avail.

Until we thought… but a new battery!! Doh!

Quick trip to Glasgow, quick cuppa with the other H who was just out of exile with Covid then home.
What a long long day! Thrilled just to see my boys
