Fun in the woods

We have finally arrived in the Black Forest and went for a few walks to visit some of our old haunts again. Climbed up to the deer hide to listen to the birds singing their evening song.
Of course the forests haven’t changed but walking through the village was a mixture of sadness and cautious optimism. This Spa town used to be host to health tourists, walkers, bikers and day trippers, bustling with many interesting shops, cafes,
restaurants and activities. So many have not survived the two years of visitors not coming. There is a lot of activity going on, renovating houses, restaurants, empty shops. It keeps people busy, but let’s hope visitors will return this year.
