Breaking through..

30cm of fresh snow in last 24 hours, most of the day was as portrayed in the extra, but a super quick snap with my phone (which I couldn't even really see at the time as the screen was dark), just before the battery died, came out surprisingly well.
It was about -7C and windy so we weren't hanging around, but it makes the glaciologists heart beat faster just being in all that snow. Have had the kids identifying different types of snow crystals and explaining about avalanches today...
