You always get an ooo with Kankku

Lots of wind and rain here last night and today so a good day for offroading with Kankku. It seems they've had a bit of bother with ramblers so there is no solo drive option at the moment, this is a bit of a shame but we went a head with the guided option. This involves one of their instructors leading in an other landrover.

The instructor (Harry) was excellent, giving us great instructions and pointing out lots of interesting stuff on the way. As we've done a fair bit of offroading in the past we were able to make good time (whilst still going slowly to preserve the trails), and got a few extra bits in. Through Grizedale forest which has suffered a lot of tree damage this winter, across to Selside overlooking Coniston (not that we could see anything as it was so foggy), then down to the Ship in for lunch. We then came back via a few trails around Tarn Howes.

A fine day out, although wrestling that old Landrover about with no PAS is hard work. Once we got back Alf took Liv, Pops and Johnnie to Booths for some fancy shopping.

Neary time for a gin.
