Kew Orchid Festival

Today, I  met my Mother  and my sister at Kew Gardens,  to visit the  annual Orchid Festival in the  Princess of Wales Conservatory. This year, the theme was orchids and other plants  native to Costa Rica. As always, it was a spectacular exhibition. Also  included in the displays were models of animals from the region such at Quetzal bird,  Jaguar and  Capuchin monkeys. One of my extras shows my Mum with the sea turtles.
After the  orchids we had lunch in the Orangery and  explored the the delights of the Palm House. It was a shame it rained a lot and  the outdoor  planting didn't  look its best, but we enjoyed our day.
