The Edge of the Wold

Sunset from Ashmeadow

If blipping has taught me anything, it's to expect the unexpected.  It had been a grim, grey and wet day of miserable light.  Then as C and I were running a few errands this afternoon, the sky cleared and when we finished what we were doing, we dropped down to the prom to see the last flourish of the sun.  I don't often venture into the grounds of Ashmeadow, but I wanted to see the sun framed by the fringing row of trees.  Ahead of Storm Dudley's arrival, it was blowy on the front, not yet knock-you over wind, but still quite buffeting.

As we had our evening meal, the rain arrived again and now Gus is wanting to go for his evening amble.  Back later.
