day 3: KB picket line in the rain

I had planned to take today off  to go to Glasgow to catch up with family. The forecast for storm and train cancellations made us cancel our plans. It was hardly vital for us to travel. Another plan cancelled - for once not due to the pandemic. So, I joined the picket line today. Spent the entire morning at KB. We did hand out quite a number of fliers. Some new people joined us. It did get rather wet. Nevermind, a few years ago we braved the Beast of the East. Today's chat was about units for measuring length, geodesy and the purpose of universities. Thankfully, the storm didn't turn out all that bad where we live and I had an afternoon of pottering about. Big pot of soup on the go for tomorrow.
