La Hayas

We did one of my favourite walks today, El Cercado to Las Hayas but we nearly chickened out as it was only 8 degrees when we started the walk. We softies are used to temperatures in the low 20s. We don’t usually expect to see many wildflowers at this time of year but they are plentiful together with lots of birds, some must be migrants. The blip shows the view over Las Hayas. The terraces are rarely used for crops these days and the reservoir looked rather stagnant and green but we did see a new goat farm and the animals had been given room to roam. This is not always the case and some are put on a short chain to their ankles with little room to move.
