WAITING FOR DUDLEY

Sister A2 and I headed for the hills to make the most of the time before Storm Dudley was supposed to hit. We went up to Lord Stones on the edge of the Cleveland Hills, looking forward to a good feed in the excellent café, only to find it's closed until the weekend. After watching some rain squalls sweep over the landscape towards us, we went down to nearby Stokesley, a lovely market town, and successfully explored some of the eateries there.

This evening we found that the train companies were all advising against travel on Friday because of Storm Eunice and saying that their tickets would be valid on Thursday and/or Saturday, so A2 very reluctantly decided that her most sensible course of action would be to cut short her visit here and get back to Norwich early. Boo!
