The morning after

Thankfully, at least for us, Storm Dudley didn’t amount to much and we had a fairly calm night. The Water of Leith was showing signs of more rainfall today though and looking quite full.

It has been another changeable day. I went out at lunchtime in bright sunshine and blue skies and was just observing the birds on the pond when, suddenly, I was engulfed in a hail shower. It’s also getting colder now, so we’ll see what Storm Eunice, now approaching, brings. Sounds like the wind could be really bad in the south west of England, while we are being warned of heavy snow. 

Winter is definitely not over yet.
