Quod oculus meus videt

Malham

Of course we would pick this week to meet up with JohnGravett and Debs in the Yorkshire Dales.  A late morning rendezvous in Settle before lunch in the Olde Naked Man Cafe (no we didn't see anyone fitting the description).

We planned to visit Scaleber Force on the way to Malham where we were staying in the Lister Arms.  While we did get out and ventured over the wall towards the waterfall, the rain was coming in sideways due to the strength of the wind and the path was muddy and very slippy.  We didn't even try to head down to the bottom of the falls, instead heading to the pub and some drinks.

It dried up late in the afternoon and we walked over the Malham Cove, cameras at the ready.  I'm sure John and I would choose similar photos so as he posted first, I've chosen an alternate of the quintessential dry stone walls and crazy skies that met us on the walk over.  The extra is a similar scene to John's but I went for a mono treatment.

We climbed up to the top of the cove and took a few more images before heading back for a sumptuous dinner and more drinking into the night at the bar.
