Snow capped mountains and more

Snow capped mountain from the house this morning - in the thumbnail - before setting off around Loch Duich from Letterfearn and walking up past a rather handsome Iron Age broch - Caisteal Grugaig  - up to a high point for a panoramic view up Loch Long and looking down on Dornie, where we are staying on the right - first extra.
Scenic drive over to Glenelg, reaching the snow line, and more gorgeous snow capped mountain views from the top of the pass, the five sisters is in the bottom of the blip
Back at Dornie we take in the viewing point for Eilean Donan Castle, and the late afternoon sun and sky is so magnificent we are drawn towards the castle again, glorious light and reflections - second extra. There’s a heron in the late evening sun which together with a merganser taken on our morning walk are yet more extras
The weather has been remarkably kind, just a couple of short lived squalls not withstanding the rather dire forecast - of course it might all change tomorrow!
