On the canal

We had our staff Christmas night out yesterday - yes, really! We normally have it after the New Year as the prices go down again, but we don't usually leave it quite so long, it's just that we've had a staff member off sick since then - first me after my hip operation, and then another colleague was off from the day I came back until last week.

Anyway, to get back to the picture - I took this on the way to the restaurant as some of us decided to walk along the Union Canal to get there. We met this boat en route, together with old-timer crew/passengers. It was cold again, but not as bad as before and these guys at least had their backs to the wind, unlike us.
