Clock Tower #12

This clocktower forms part of what was Govan Parish Poorhouse . Designed by James Thomson between 1867-72. By 1923 it was part of the newly formed Southern General Hospital and remained so until 2015 when the new Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH ) was built beside it. You can just see the top of the QEUH behind the old building in the main photo. The building is now the maintenance block for the hospital. The extra shows the tower from the rear of the building with the edge of the multistorey carpark on the left. The building is B listed.
