Braving the weather

One of the two Red Squirrels we often see was determined to have some food from the bird feeder. It was blustery and snowy but he hung on. The pigeon in the extra seemed much less amused by the weather. 
We had a good covering when I got up but there has been a slow thaw all day. Expect that means treacherous ice by the morning. 'A' wasn't sure he would make it back up today as it's a good 4.5 hour drive and with our snow and the wind further south it seemed doubtful. But at 4.30 he set off and should arrive soon. I've made homemade chocolate hobnobs as a late valentine as I never buy them as I'm not keen :)
