Bern

Bern this afternoon. With restrictions lifted it felt like everyone had come out onto the streets.

Took the train there this afternoon to meet a friend for her birthday. Her son has an exhibition on in Bern and we wanted to see it. I’ve attached the link below so you can read all about it as it’s tricky to explain. It was inspired by the British photographer, William England’s photographs of Switzerland in 1863. One of the extras shows the inside of the exhibition. We had a lovely meal with Alan afterwards and it was fascinating to hear about the logistics of putting the exhibition together, how he took the photos, recorded the sounds and built the display. It was an amazing experience to see the photos whilst listening to the sounds through the headphones. The exhibition will go to London for 5 days in April.
