Gorge-us

Taken from the bridge across the Corgo River at Vila Real, with my phone because my camera got left in the car - never quite sure what's happening next when you're with Brazilians!

Lovely day, lunch with everyone, plus an Irish colleague as well, and then drove to Vila Nova de Gaia (opposite Porto), to visit English (and a German short-termer) colleagues (and eat one of Lydia's excellent pistachio macaroons). And then the long slog to leave the family in Ponte de Sor, and on, through the night, an almost full moon, hazy in the clouds to our left, to home and two very pleased cats... past midnight now.

Gratefuls:
- the Lopes family being so easy to travel with, the lads were impressive
- that the effort of organising, and all the driving, was totally worth it
- getting safely home and my own bed, electric blanket on, waiting for me
