The fence panels were broken by the wind.  My neighbour is having a new driveway and the builders were trying to stop various items blowing away and came to our rescue. 

They helped us flatten the broken panels and we then moved their empty pallets on top to stop the broken fence blowing away and to stop the empty pallets which were stacked high from falling over.

There were various incidents reported at work across the day and during an afternoon meeting it was decided that permission for parkrun tomorrow couldn't be given as there was no guarantee that the trees in the park could be checked before we would start.  A sad but sensible decision.  I had not been planning on staying local anyway.
