Bargara Beach and Turtle Nests, "Mon Repos"

Bargara main beach exceeded expectations (on the southern extremity of the Barrier Reef). It is located close to Bundaberg a growth area just north of the Sunshine Coast (new hospital, and housing estates etc.). The extra is a shot of several green turtle nests on a conservation beach called "Mon Repos". Here the nests are carefully studied and mini weather stations are at each site. This is in stark contrast to the nests in front of my house on the Sunshine Coast. My partner Leigh inspects a particularly well protected cluster of nests in the second extra (not quite what we expected....
