Faded Beauty

Today was not a day for venturing out with Storm Eunice hitting the SE of the UK where I live.  Fortunately there seems to be little damage in my immediate neighbourhood, aside from fallen aerials (one brought down by a tree in my garden ... oops) and the last of the roofing felt disappearing from my derelict shed. 

Instead, I spent a lazy day indoors, eventually stirring myself enough to take some portrait shots of a rather faded tulip before it goes in the recycling bin. I do love how tulips retain their beauty and become even more interesting right up to the end.
