Drive by blipping

Thank you so much for all the gifts you left on yesterday’s journal entry, I feel very touched. I’m still not fully up to speed again yet so I’m a bit of a one sided contributor to Blipfoto at the moment but hope I’ll be able to open up to comments again before too long. And have the energy to use my camera rather than my phone to blip with!

It was such a beautiful drive up from Carlisle. We decided to go home via Glen Coe so we could enjoy the snow. So glad we did. It was beautiful. And nice to drive it for once with sunny and snowy views but on a clear dry road.

No time for stopping, all the pull-offs at the roadside and car parks were full anyway, so I had to grab my blip at 60mph. Had I been quicker this would show how the tree, a Rowan, is growing out of a split rock. I always think of Ciocia, my housebound aunt who lived in Edinburgh, as she loved the hopeful symbolism of this tree. Someone sent her a postcard of it which she kept on her mantelpiece.

We made it to Lochaline at 14.44. The ferry left at 14.45! Lochaline was enjoying the sun but by the time we had crossed the Sound it was cloudy.
