First daffodils

It was not raining nor too windy this morning so we ventured out to Sainsbury's to stock up. The  sun actually came out briefly and I checked   the garden for  signs of damage; nothing serious. These small daffodils are the first to open in the open ground. There are also  some in containers with buds.
We watched the final part of Michael Palin's "Around  the  World in Eighty Days" which we have been viewing over the past few Saturday nights on BBC4. Still very good, truly a classic series, even though, or because, it was filmed in 1988.
I found it especially  interesting to see how dowdy London looked in December  1988, when he arrives home.
