Winter flowering blossom

A small twig with blossom on it had broken off the little winter flowering cherry tree just outside my friends house. I bought it home and used my little light pad to illuminate it.
Yesterday was still very windy, this time courtesy of storm Franklin but little rain; there seems to be no rain or wind forecast for today so hopefully the roofers will be able to start on the roof.

Today England is waking to the news that ALL Covid restrictions will be removed this Thursday, no isolating after testing positive although it is recommended that people stay at home.
