Mum to hundreds

What a lovely surprise to wake up to this morning, they weren't here last night and here they are today, frog spawn.

Unlike me who has some control with my children at present, the mum of these hundreds of spawn will have no control at all over what happens to them, nature will take it's course and hopefully we will have lots of little tadpoles and then frogs. Not that I particularly like frogs!

It will be interesting to watch the development of the frog spawn and I hope nature is kind, that the fish don't eat them or the heron doesn't discover my pond this year.

I will keep posted the progress.
