Blooded but unbowed

The crocuses are looking rather battered after the recent weather. I like the colour of these. They’re one of the few plants that were in the garden when we moved in 20 years ago. The previous owner’s wife had run off off to Spain with another man. I assume she must have done the gardening because it was a mess when we moved in.
