Godshill

“I wake up every morning at nine and grab for the morning paper. Then I look at the obituary page. If my name is not on it, I get up.”
Benjamin Franklin
We’re staying at Godshill, named after the mediaeval All Saints Church which overlooks the village from the hilltop. Apparently this was the site of the first ever Isle of Wight Festival, although you wouldn’t guess it at the moment. Fairly central for getting around the island, weather permitting, it’s pretty blustery and showery for our first week here, so we’re getting out and about in between the showers.
