Eastern Screech Owl

I've been hearing it at night... soft trills, descending wails...

and here he or she is, sitting on the ground under my birdfeeder at mid-day. What a surprise! It's not the most beautiful photo of the day, but a happy moment for me, to get to see this little wide-eyed owl.
