Abstract Thursday

The theme for this Abstract Thursday is texture. I started with a photograph showing closeup detail of a Picture Sandstone specimen, then I used the kaleidoscope distortion filter to create this final abstract image. This type of rock can be found at the border of Arizona and Utah, USA. When the sandstone is cut into slabs, interesting patterns are revealed that often resemble landscapes.
