One day at a time

Stocksfield footbridge

In the chaos of the world at the moment it was a relief  to spend a little time on Stocksfield railway station in Northumberland this morning. Other than one waiting passenger on the other platform I was the only person there.  The lines in this direction go West to Carlisle via Hexham, Haltwhistle etc. With most of the rest of the station looking fairly plastic and modern this bridge stands for quality engineering. A pity it has two modern lamp posts part way up each side.
