On wings of song

The treble clef falling on some feathers I'd laid aside reminded me of Mendelssohn's song, 'On Wings of Song', and since one of its lines is 'A garden of roses I'll show thee, by moonlight silvered o'er' I thought the floribunda rose could accompany it.
This is a today-blip, but the other reality of the day is that we went to Penrith (another medical, of course) and it simply bucketed down most of the way there and back. I don't think that figures in Mendelssohn's 'enchanted lands'!
