Praying for Peace

I hope.

We visited Sherborne today, aiming to replace some old lampshades but ending up with much more than we bargained for.  But the owner of the shop, House of Lamps, knew his stuff and had all manner of choices of shade, light fitment ("what you've got on there now is not much good") etc . . . we didn't begrudge him the expenditure.

And in Sherborne Abbey, whose monks built the manor in our village, tithing for the cost of it afterwards, the beautiful decoration quite lifted our souls.  A fantastic church, in great condition, we spent a bit of time there – see Extras.
