An Indian, an Australian and I met at lunchtime today to talk about work placements for refugees.

This evening I went to the leaving do of an ex-colleague. We were an Afghan, an Iraqi, an Iranian Kurd, an Iranian non-Kurd, an Italian, a German, a Kenyan, two Rwandans and a handful of Brits. The food we ate was Turkish. Among many other things, we talked about whether attitudes to refugees will change when they are white and from Ukraine.
