Can you hear the ice melting?

If you listen, you can hear ice melting. We had a wintry mix early this morning, snow, rain, and sleet. Everything glistened outside. I left work early and thought I would be able to blip the ice wonderland. Hubby was home and we had a project. Last week he installed a roller shade for the patio door in the kitchen. Now we need to hide the roller, so he is building a cornice. Off to Home Depot for wood and some molding and then a quick trip to the supermarket. We get home and the ice has melted.
