Ben Vorlich and Stuc a’Chroin

The forecast was for a sunny morning and then gradually getting cloudy as the day went on so we decided to go up Meall Buidhe above Glen Ogle. We met up with our friends S and R and enjoyed a walk through the powdery snow up a road to a mast. We then had to go through heathery ground with deeper snow in places before reaching the top by which time the cloud was coming in. The blip is the view from the top towards Ben Vorlich and Stuc a’Chroin and some good clouds. We walked on south back to the road before going back along the old railway, whereas S and R went back to the mast. As we reached the road it started to spot with rain and the lovely powdery snow had changed to wet snow sadly.

Best on black.
