On The Beach

The weather today was rather fine with sun most of the day.

It was a day for getting out and about. Pat suggested she make up a picnic and we headed off, first into St Andrews.

Duly sanitizer and masked we walked around the town visiting Pat’s ”Candy Stores"; Charity Shops. The first time in over two years.

Everyone is very mask conscious and sanitizer is available everywhere. Social distancing remains in place.

We enjoyed our expedition, however the Candy Stores were fairly depleted of treasure and books. No purchases apart from Sympathy Cards.

We ventured to a bookshop. One whose name begins with W. Saddened to discover that the Arts Section had shrunk to 1 bay and the architecture section had shrunk to half a shelf!

No purchases, and to be realistic we are not all short of books to study and read.

Pat choice of picnic was Kingsbarn beach and today’s entry shows the view of the beach from the driving seat.

The headland on the left hand side of the photo is likely to be Auchmithie, which is about 25 miles away.

We could see the top half of the Bell Rock Lighthouse sparkling in the sun when we arrived.

However, it became enveloped in a sea fog which gathered on the horizon.

We drove home and discovered another road to drive along. I thought we had covered them all!
