Heading home

I awoke in a strange new hotel in Milton Keynes , since all the usual ones were full. The taxi driver had no idea why - the MK Dons were playing last night, but I didn't hear any excitement in the boulevards.....well, the bed was comfy enough.

Meeting and talking about maths stuff most of the day, then an uneventful journey home. I took a couple of photos at Crewe station to be on the safe side (one day I'll treat you to the "Classic" weighing machine by platform 11), but this one reminds me of the gorgeous sun that I glimpsed as the train was starting to round the bend at Carstairs. It was actually deep blood-orange in colour, but no way could the camera cope with that as well as its luminosity.
