If you go down to the woods today .....

... there might be a hint of Spring.

Anemone nermorosa, the Wood Anemone. We saw just a few today, the first of many here, lifting their heads in response to the sun. In a very wet flush some exuberant Kingcups, aka Marsh Marigold or Caltha palustris also brightened the woodland floor with some virgin primroses, just opened and fresh as paint close by. A fine foray in Dolgoch woods!
