Today's the day ...................... to be out of sorts

A strange sort of a day today.

It promised well at the start, with the prospect of two exciting Six Nations Rugby Union matches to watch.  But in the event, at least one of them failed to live up to expectations - and both of them had the wrong result (as far as I was concerned).  But it all paled into insignificance (being after all, only a game) when they were followed by the early evening news with all the chilling scenes of what is happening today in the Ukraine.

My only offering today blipwise, is this picture taken in the garden, in between rugby matches.  It's a rather strange fungi, looking like a frilly ruff, growing on the stump of a long-dead tree.  

Like I said, it's been a strange sort of a day ....................
