Worcester

We went to Worcester today.  There was a specific reason for doing so, but there were periphery reasons too.  The day was fine, I was interested in seeing what effect the flooding was having and, importantly, Worcester is the home town of Emma, Andy and Baby Rafferty!

We parked up in Diglis and had a wander round followed by a coffee at Cafe Afloat, a barge in the small marina there with outside seating.   Emma and family joined us there before heading off home whilst we had some lunch and a bit more exploring.  This time ending up at their place for a cup of tea and chat.

On our walk by the river I saw this crane and boathouse.  The boathouse was obviously not used any more,  possibly not the crane either, and I consider it a suitable candidate for this week's Derelict Sunday hosted by Marlieske. I've added a photo to the extras to show part of the flooding; the Diglis footbridge was impassable due to half of it being underwater,  it leads to the pathway to the right of the railings shown in the picture.
