Flowering Cherry Blossom

A lovely morning so I was able to enjoy a walk in Queens Park before church. This Japanese Flowering Cherry (Prunus) is now a mass of pink flowers which hang on individual tiny stems.

Two birthdays in church today ..... an 80th and a 14th so we had two cakes with candles. I had a lovely piece of the iced carrot cake and I needed no lunch when I got home.
