wild & precious life

NEC

We spent the day at the NEC in Birmingham for the camping, caravan and motorhome show. Hubby has wanted to go for quite some time but we've never managed until now and, of course, COVID put a stop to it over the past few years! It was a full day and kept us both very occupied. We walked for miles! It was a huge set-up!
I must admit that it felt a little strange walking around such a huge event for two reasons...after two years of covid, it was strange to be in crowds of people without restrictions or masks, but mainly it was odd to be focusing on leisure time to the backdrop of a war in Ukraine. We were very highly aware of our privilege and freedom. Buying an awning felt at complete odds to the state of affairs in the world, but that's what we did.
Afterwards we found our way to our hotel and flopped on the bed for a few hours, before booking an Uber and making our way to a local restaurant. It was delightful. If any Blippers are close to Birmingham airport, we would highly recommend it (see extra).
