Windy Buttermere

I met up with some friends today to have a photo day. They wanted to go to Crummock & Buttermere, so we parked in the Buttermere national trust car park fairly early and spent the day over there. The sky was totally blue and cloudless (wonderful for walking, but pretty awful for landscapes). Down the eastern shore of Buttermere, the waves looked more suitable for surfing than anything else. I tried some slow shutter speeds panning on wave movements (main) and with a tripod, to show water movement around rocks (extra) The orange colour comes from the reflection of the fells on the opposite side of the lake, the blue is the reflection of the sky. I thought they were appropriately Ukranian flag colours too.
