A Pint Of Light

Another fun packed mid week musical night, and another visit up to the bright lights of Glasgow.
It was another visit to the Oran Mor to capture the one man hit machine that goes under the banner of King Creosote.
Another fine example of just how good and refreshing the scottish music scene is at the moment.
This guy doesn't rest on his laurels, at the latest count he's released some 40 odd albums so far and doesn't look like slowing down any time soon, not even with the crutches he had with him to get him onto the stage tonight.
A former member of the Fence record label, who are going through an embarassing high of musical riches at the moment with Kid Canaveral, Randolphs Leap, Pictish Trail, Eagleowl and so much more, who has recently flown the nest to set up his own record label.
My good friend Chris has helped in his new project, as he always does, by stumbling merrily into the merchandising stall and walking away with a vinyl ep and a specially recorded charity album on cd, so the first royalty cheque should be flying through his letterbox in no time.

Oh, back to the blipfoto of the day. Nothing to do with the gig, though it was taken tonight before we popped into the Oran Mor.
We enjoyed a few pints in the Hillhead Library, and although we both enjoy a good read, this isn't an actual library but a cool wee pub up in the West End.
We've yet to attempt a game a table tennis in there, as the pub does have a table upstairs, and i would dread to think how the hell we would get on if we did.
Anyway, ive drunk many drinks that have been on fire, though this was just a cool wee candle holder.
And i kinda liked it.
